job purpose:
The Deployment Planner's role is to forecast, schedule, and manage the movement and delivery of materials and finished goods to meet demand, ensuring seamless site production and warehouse operations. This role's responsibilities include ownership of the shuttle forecast, management and analysis of inventory levels based on capacity and demand, and collaborating with warehousing, logistics, 3PL providers, distribution planning, and site supply planning team to support execution of the production schedule.
responsibilities:
Responsible for forecasting and scheduling site material shuttles that are needed for execution of the production schedule, inclusive of proactive communication to site operations and logistics partners.
Schedule and plan the deployment of site finished good shuttlers and shipments into the local warehousing orbit in partnership with Distribution Planning and Customer Service.
Work to improve and manage the site raw materials receiving plan, scheduling appointments with carriers, and ensuring timely delivery of materials from vendors.
Partner closely with the materials planners to ensure the site will be able to execute processing and packaging in sequence with receiving, kitting, batching, and packaging operations.
Proactive management and cross functional communication of supply concerns that may impact production schedule.
Responsible for the management and analysis of local orbit finished goods and materials inventory, working with the warehouse inventory control team to ensure inventory accuracy and data integrity to support site needs.
Coordinate & collaborate with QA team to understand inventory statuses of materials and finished goods to ensure adequate actions taken
Support the Supply Planning team (Materials/Milk/Production) with coverage of their requirements as needed.
Report violations of company policies, procedures, and working rules to Manager(s).
Follow all safety and working rules.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.

skills/qualifications required:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Business Administration, or other related fields required.
Strong attention to detail, mathematical and analytical skills required.
Strong Microsoft Office skills (excel, PowerBI)
Ability to manage multiple competing priorities and requests and respond quickly with a sound solution.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
Ability to handle ambiguity and work in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment.
Skilled in organizing resources and establishing priorities.
Dynamics 365, NetSuite experience preferred but not required.
Supply Chain planning experience preferred.

Understand, observe, and comply with the handling and usage of the color-coded container policy while in the Production Areas.
Perform all duties necessary to meet Company, Customer and/or Government requirements/standards as prioritized by the Company.
Ability to initiate action to prevent the occurrence of nonconformities relating to Food Safety and the Quality of the product, processes, quality system, or safety system.
Identify and record any problems relating to Food Safety and the Quality of the ingredients, processes, quality system, or safety system.
Control further processing or delivery of nonconforming products in terms of Food Safety and Quality issues until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected.
