Job Description:
We are looking for an integral member of our Manufacturing Engineering team. Expertise is needed in the area of Automation and Robotics. Description:
- Lead a group of Manufacturing Engineers to develop, specify, validate and install new automation and/or robotic applications for assembly processes and material handling applications
- Develop a common/standardized approach for robot: programming standards, safety protocol, operator interface, etc. for global implementation.
· Integration of robotics and automation into operations that were previously not automated
- Utilize project management skills to plan and execute assigned projects; manage budget as required
- Estimate lead time and cost of capital equipment
- Communicate with all stakeholders, supervisors, engineers, skilled trades, etc. to meet customer needs
Job Requirements:
- 5 years previous experience with automation and/or robotics experience is preferred
- Previous management/leadership experience preferred
- Working knowledge of electrical controls, robot programming and automation integration
- High level of analytical skills
- Exceptional interpersonal skills
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Good computer skills
- Knowledge of Problem Solving Techniques (ie: Shainin/Six Sigma)
- Global Travel required
- Weekend and off shift working hours may be required during implementation phases
Education:
Bachelor – Mechanical or Manufacturing or Electrical Engineering
