In this role, the Senior Director, Sales and National Accounts will be responsible for driving the generics portfolio revenue and profitability growth by developing and executing sales strategies with new and existing customers. This executive role involves managing a team, fostering relationships with key stakeholders, and ensuring our products meet the market demands competitively.
The Senior Director, Sales and National Accounts will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with Padagis customers that translate into increased revenue and profitability growth. This responsibility is realized through four main work streams:
* Enhancing the Padagis-customer relationship and improving the company's overall competitiveness;
* Improving relationships, comprehensive communication, and service levels with strategic customers;
* Ensuring the maintenance and accuracy of the business financials in discussions with internal and external stakeholders (customers);
* Optimizing the customer mix for the Padagis portfolio to ensure consistent growth while diversifying the customer footprint.=
Job duties:
Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve or exceed sales targets for generic pharmaceutical products.
Provide leadership and direction to the sales team, setting clear goals and performance metrics, and offering coaching and professional development opportunities.
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers within national accounts, including pharmacy chains, wholesalers, distributors, and group purchasing organizations (GPOs).
Negotiate contracts and agreements with national accounts to maximize volume, profitability, and market share.
Work closely with the Contracts team to negotiate and complete new contracts and RFPs in a timely fashion.
Manage any assigned accounts, Sales planning/ customer forecasting, contract analysis and bid requisitions, customer terms negotiations and the measurement of customer contract compliance and overall performance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, regulatory affairs, and product development, to ensure a cohesive approach to market penetration and product launches.
In-depth knowledge of the generics portfolio, competitive dynamics, customer landscape and a strong understanding of relationships between wholesaler, retailers and direct/indirect sales channels
Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify new business opportunities and areas for growth.
Oversee the management of sales forecasts, budgets, and pricing strategies to ensure financial objectives are met.
Support BD with efforts to evaluate and value M&A opportunities.
Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to enhance brand visibility and business development efforts.
Ensure compliance with all industry regulations and legal requirements related to the sale of generic pharmaceuticals.
Prepare and present sales reports and performance analyses to the executive team and other stakeholders.
Monitor account/product sales to ensure inventory is sold through before it becomes short dated.
Required qualifications:
Bachelor's degree
Seven or more (7+) years of experience in Pharmaceutical Sales;
Three or more (3+) years of experience with a Pharmaceutical Wholesaler or Distributor organization a plus
Experience in managing databases, building business facing reports and developing self-serve reporting tools
Advanced Excel skills including proficiency in pivot tables
Capacity to focus on large data sets and distill key facts
Experience with Pharmaceutical Sales Data such as IMS
Outstanding analytical, problem solving, and creative thinking abilities; enterprising and resourceful, self-starter and team player

Preferred qualifications:
Generic pharmaceutical industry experience strongly preferred
Experience with one or more of Excel, Business Objects, and Power BI
