DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Works closely with the Client Service Desk (CSD) to ensure that problems notified to them are dealt with in a timely and effective manner. Meet the SLA targets associated with the problems notified to them through the CSD. Accurately record problem resolution in the appropriate tools used by the CSD. Ensure that accurate and complete server backups are complete to approved schedules. Ensure that appropriate tape rotations to the offsite storage are completed and to maintain the appropriate backup logs and tape movement records. Complete software upgrades, on demand or scheduled, using pre-pared packages or approved, licensed software. Ensure that all software deployed in their site(s) is licensed by means of an annual audit and to document same. Maintain an accurate and complete inventory of all software licenses at their site(s). Maintain an accurate and complete inventory of all hardware assets at their site(s). Maintain site documentation requirements including, but not limited to, an accurate list of static TCP/IP addresses, DHCP scopes, site cabling and switch patching and any additions as reasonably required by Infrastructure management. Answer any reasonable user query and problem and escalate as necessary and also to retain ownership of such problems to ensure a satisfactory conclusion. Install and maintain PC's in accordance with pre-determined standards including any local customization as required.Support and assist with voice communications equipment. Assist with disaster recovery tests and invocations, record results and assist with maintaining the disaster recovery plans. Ensure that up to date and authorized anti-virus software and DAT files are installed on ALL PC's. Uphold all Federal Mogul's policies a described in the Information Protection Manual, IT standards and White Papers. Provide users with basic training and communication on IS policies and procedures. Subject to the proper approval, to place orders for all IS related hardware and software as required by the site(s) and to ensure that all resulting invoices are correct. Ensure that all faults to hardware are dealt with in a timely and effective manner and to report any failure of hardware maintenance suppliers to management. Work with Infrastructure and other IS staff to ensure that Sarbanes-Oxley requirements are met for their site(s). Work with Infrastructure and other IS staff to ensure that Internal/External audit requirements are met for their site(s). Ensure that infrastructure budgets for the site(s) are controlled. Ensure that defined Infrastructure standards are implemented in a consistent way across their site(s). Ensures compliance with all EHSMS policies and procedures. Instructs on safe work practices and promotes safety consciousness while practicing safety procedures, enforcing policy regarding safety and making recommendations when needed.Sees that company policies and programs are effectively made known; cooperates and assists in the development of effective communications. Promotes a positive employer-employee relation.Maintains departmental efficiency regarding timeliness and quality of reports and procedural requirements. Maintains inter-departmental relationships of such a caliber as to promote confidence, integrity and cooperation.
