We are seeking a Research Tech to support several federally funded health services research projects. This position will work with a multidisciplinary team on projects focused on acute and critical illnesses, and helping patients recover more effectively. Too often, current healthcare systems stop at treating the worst of the symptoms; our vision is to help empower patients, their caregivers, and clinicians to work together to truly heal.
After careful training in survey conduct, the protection of privacy, and cohort recruitment and retention, the research technician will be responsible for the following:
- Screen and recruit study participants, obtain informed consent, conduct telephone surveys, and maintain detailed subject records.
- Prepare mailings of recruitment letters, surveys, gift cards, and other participant materials
- Maintain superb knowledge of the study protocol to ensure compliance
- Keep organized, accurate, and compliant study records
Assist the project manager with the following:
- Coordination of the data collection from multiple sources
- Preparation and maintenance of all regulatory materials
- Drafting, reviewing, and organizing materials for proposals, reports, and manuscripts
- Other tasks as assigned (e.g. literature searches, preparing study materials, etc.).

Senior level requirements:
- Bachelor's degree preferably in a health-related field (e.g., psychology, social work, public health).
- 1-2 years experience.
- Fluent in English and Spanish (speak, read, and write).
- Must be eligible to work in the United States
Intermediate level requirements:
- HS Diploma or Assoc Degree. Bachelor's degree in a health-related field (e.g., psychology, social work, public health) preferred.
- 1-3 years experience.
- Fluent in English and Spanish (speak, read, and write).
- Must be eligible to work in the United States
Associate level requirements:
- HS Diploma or Assoc Degree.
- 0-1 year experience required.
- Fluent in English and Spanish (speak, read, and write).
- Must be eligible to work in the United States
Full-time (Monday-Friday). This is an in-office position at the North Campus Research Complex in Ann Arbor, MI) Most hours will take place during typical day shifts. Some flex hours in the evening and weekends may be needed to accommodate participant appointments.
This position may be underfilled at a lower classification depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate.
Supervision Received: This position reports directly to PI.
