SUMMARY: The Food Safety and Quality Assurance (FSQA) Technician position is responsible for: * Performing physical and visual inspections of product and plant systems then documenting, and calculating results accurately * Taking corrective action when necessary (alert appropriate personnel to adjust process; identify, segregate, & isolate non-conforming product) and report results to management. * Any additional assignments requested. * All team members are responsible for safety. This includes but is not limited to personal safety and food safety. * Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment. Work may involve lifting of materials and product up to 25 pounds. Working in this environment requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to; steel-toed work boots, hardhats, safety glasses, hairnets, beard nets (if applicable), and smocks. Cell phones and jewelry are not permitted on the factory floor. REQUIREMENTS: * Education: High school diploma or equivalent. * Experience: Experience with QA preferred. Commercial food production experience preferred. * Communication Skills: Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. * Special Skills: Must possess skills to complete Tyson paperwork; ability to lead by example and motivate the hourly workforce; good problem identification and problem-solving skills; math and organizational skills; ability to read and interpret product specifications; must function well under stress; must have flexibility to work where and when needed. * Savvy computer skills or working with our inventory system using a computer. * Physical Requirements: Position involves heavy lifting (50 lbs. or more). * Must reside in the United States to be considered. * No sponsorship offered WORKING HOURS: Monday - Friday 1pm to 9pm.
