Four groundskeepers needed in Gaylord MI as a seasonal operation, we seek to hire dedicated Golf Course Maintenance Crew Members. Essential duties include mowing of greens & fairways. Installation of sod, mulching, sprinkler repairs, shrub trimming. Blowing off of walkways, spreading of topsoil, planting of trees, shrubs & flowers. Cleaning of leaves, sticks on property. Use of ride on mowers, weedwackers, shrub trimmers.
The salary range for this position is $16.75 to $20.00 per hour. The overtime wage rate is $25.13 to $30.00 per hour. This position required 40 hours per week. Work is usually done Monday through Friday. First shift is from 5:30 am to 2:30pm. Overtime hours may vary depending on the needs of the business. These are seasonal and temporary full-time positions from April 1, 2025 through November 1, 2025. Overtime is available for each hour worked above 40 per week at one and a half times the hourly baserate. Wages are paid biweekly on Fridays by check. A single workweek is used as the standard for computing wages due. Employer is responsible for daily transportation to the worksite. The employer will make all deductions from the worker’s paycheck required by law. The employee will be offered health, dental, and vision benefits. The employer may make deductions at the voluntary & written request of the employee. Employer will provide housing at no cost to employee. No other deductions will be made. Loon Lake Club will reimburse all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees (including those mandated by the government) for H-2B workers within the first week of employment. Loon Lake Club will provide customary and reasonably necessary tools or supplies for the performance of these duties to candidates without charge or deposit. If the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, the employer will reimburse the worker for transportation and subsistence from the place where the worker has come to work for Loon Lake Club The amount of reimbursable daily subsistence expenses during travel will be at least $15.88, and a maximum of $59 per day if documented with actual receipts. Loon Lake Club will pay for the worker's cost of return transportation home and daily subsistence from the place of employment to the place the worker departed to work for Loon Lake Club if the worker completes the required period of employment or is dismissed by Loon Lake Club from employment before the end of the period for any reason. 10) Loon Lake Club makes the three-fourth guarantee by offering employment for a total number of work hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays of each 12-week period.
