EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Health Care Services, Community/Economic Development or related field required
- Minimum five years employment experience working in early childhood care, health services, community and/or economic development or related area(s)
- Demonstrated leadership ability and cultural sensitivity
- Ability to cultivate relationships between diverse populations and multiple organizations of all types in the community
- In-depth knowledge of existing early childhood programs and related services (i.e. health, dental/oral health, mental health, human services) in Lenawee County
- Knowledge of financing relative to early childhood services
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Exceptional organizational, leadership and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated experience in media relations, communications, marketing, and community outreach
- Experience in strategic planning, data integration and analysis, and community needs assessment
- Successful background in grant writing, resource and fund development
- Knowledge of Lenawee’s services, programs and initiatives
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, and REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED:
- Ability to obtain driver’s license
