We are currently seeking aSenior Staff Consultantwith expertise in ADAS, EVs and/or AVs for ourAutomotivePractice in ourMIoffices. The candidate should have a fundamental interest in the automotive field and be motivated to develop and grow this practice area within ESi.
Key Responsibilities
Support existing consulting projects that involve the analysis and testing of advanced vehicle technologies, including advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), automated vehicles (AVs), electric vehicles (EVs), and micromobility products.
Develop specialized expertise in the automotive field such as the design, performance, and testing of existing or emerging automotive technology.
Perform vehicle crash investigation, reconstruction, and analysis with a focus on cases involving ADAS.
Perform marketing activities and pursue business development opportunities to identify potential clients and strategies to build client base nationwide.
Develop and grow this practice area.
Develop proposals and perform research of various advanced vehicle technologies. Author and publish related technical papers.
Set up and execute various test programs, including full-scale vehicle tests and component or control systems evaluations.
Manage projects from initiation to completion. Prepare technical, project-related reports on a timely basis for clients as required.
Testify in court proceedings (depositions and/or trials) on behalf of clients as required.
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's Degree. in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
3+ years of work experience in ADAS, electric vehicles (EVs), automated vehicles (AVs), and/or micromobility products.
Ability to generate business and manage client relationships.
Knowledge of automotive systems.
Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) preferred; required to obtain PE if candidate does not possess.
Versatile, team-oriented, willing to work overtime, and travel as required.
Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to synthesize technical information and present it to technical and non-technical audiences.
Clear written communication and technical writing skills.
Experience validating ADAS features is a plus.
NHTSA, OEM, or Vehicle Safety background is a plus.
