Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Incident Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the incident management process, ensuring that incidents are resolved efficiently and effectively while minimizing impact on business operations. This role requires strong analytical skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and the ability to work collaboratively with various teams to enhance incident response strategies.
This position is hybrid and does require onsite work 3 days per week in Detroit, MI. Candidates must be local. This a contract position with opportunity for direct hire. Pay rate up to $33 per hour based on experience.
Responsibilities
- Identify incident that has/is happening and respond accordingly
- Use of KB articles, incident logs, etc. determine next steps
- Engage the appropriate resources needed to contain the incident
- Establish a communication bridge for resources to collaborate
- Communicate to appropriate audience at regular intervals during the incident
- Document and log all activities that occur during the incident
- Minimize mean time to restore (MTTR)
- Escalate to appropriate management if needed
- Use EM tools to improve detection and response times to incidents
Skills
- Proficiency in incident management methodologies and frameworks.
- Must have Net Scout and Gigamon experience
- Conigma experience a plus
- Knowledge of network administration and management principles.
- Strong understanding of identity access management processes.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey technical information clearly.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail in problem-solving scenarios.
