Pay for this skilled welder position is $20.50+ dependent on relevant experience. A DAY IN THE LIFE AS A WELDER
As a Welder, you are at the heart of our fabrication process as you work in a clean, comfortable environment. You utilize various welding techniques; TIG, MIG, shielded metal arc, and gas metal arc. You interpret basic blueprints as you weld parts in various positions including flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead. You may clamp, hold, tack-weld, heat-bend, bolt, or grind parts as necessary to fabricate the final product to specifications.
Quality is critical for our equipment, so you inspect finished products using precision measuring tools to ensure specifications are met, then enter data into our quality management system. "Safety Always" is our motto, which you support by monitoring equipment and materials to ensure safe operation while following safety procedures as you work. As a welder at ABS, you are a true craftsman who ensures that your product is made to the customer's specifications and is top-of-the-line in both performance and looks.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR A WELDER
- Technical degree/certificate in welding or comparable experience
- Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and operate a variety of welding equipment
- Use of logic and reasoning in daily decision making and problem solving
- Basic computer proficiency (ability to utilize our system to track jobs)
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs
WORK SCHEDULE AS A WELDER - 2nd Shift
The typical schedule for this full-time position is Monday - Thursday from 2:30 pm to 1 am with 3-Day weekends!
