MAINTENANCE AND OPERATION (UTILITIES SYSTEMS)
Trane 1000 ton chillers
4000 ton Carrier Chiller Units with primary and secondary pumps
Operate ,repair and maintain high pressure boilers
Cooling Towers and side stream filters
Operate, repair and maintain wastewater treatment
Operate, repair and maintain resin bed deionized water systems
Zero Air Dryers
Hot Water Loop Heat Exchangers and Pumps
Operate,repair and maintain various related systems and support equipment to include boiler feed water pumps, condensate pumps and circulation pumps
Bulk fluid unloading and process fluid transferring
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Perform work within structured safety, maintenance, and operating procedures.
Perform scheduled and corrective maintenance as required.
Perform predictive maintenance tasks (Ultra Sonic Leak Detection, Thermal Scans and Vibration Analysis).
Perform routine equipment cleaning and general housekeeping duties.
Operation of systems and equipment in a control room environment.
Stationary Engineers are required to assist in the diagnosis and resolution of problems which affect the operation of the facility and/or impact environmental compliance.
Technician must be capable of reading blueprints, material specifications, manufacturer's literature, operating procedures, and work instructions.
Must have mechanical skills
Collect data, maintain records, and provide comprehensive logbook entries.
Stationary Engineers are required to support energy conservation measures.
Stationary Engineers are expected to actively support GM's GMS process and Level 5 BPD Boards.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school degree or equivalent.
Must have a minimum 3 years of experience in related utilities systems maintenance and operation.
Must have formal education and training in energy operations, equipment maintenance and repair, or instrumentation and controls.
Must have solid basic mechanical and electrical maintenance/repair skills.
Must have broad and general knowledge of utility systems, steam production, maintenance and operation practices.
Physically fit to perform all duties and tasks.
CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES
Minimum of a Boiler Operator license from a municipality or recognized professional institution, a must
Journeyman Stationary engineer, preferred
Universal Refrigerant Management certification, preferred
Waste water treatment license, preferred
Mechanical skills
