Performance Driven Workforce is now hiring Full Time Material Control Technicians for an Automotive Tier 1 Supplier. Material Control Techs primary responsibilities include picking and packing automotive parts as well as labeling automotive parts. Must be reliable, have attention to detail, and have strong automotive and material control experience. This Full Time Material Control Technician position is based out of Livonia, MI. and offers an AM Day shifts and possible overtime.
Shift Schedule:
- AM Day Shift: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM (Monday - Friday, plus Overtime as needed)
Retirees and veterans are welcomed
Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves. Read work orders or follow verbal instructions
- Identify, inspect, and track incoming and outgoing parts for quality, quantity, and accuracy
- Supply build floor with material build kits
- Operate an industrial truck (Hi-lo)
- Load materials and install strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit
- Clean, organize, remove packing dunnage, and keep work area clean
Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Experience working in manufacturing and or materials
- Understands concept of good customer service, reliable attendance, and ability to work overtime
- Ability to read, count and communicate inventory data both written and verbal
- Ability to follow directions and learn new skills and detail oriented
- Basic computer skills
Preferred Skills:
- Experience operating a Hi-Lo
- Ability to obtain or qualify for an industrial truck license
