The Application System Analyst will support the operation and maintenance of software services, integration, and interfaces between the organization's various software systems. This position will utilize scripting, code, and other development tools to manage APIs, database connections, and develop reports for various departments as needed from related data sources or applications.
This position will gather business requirements, create software specifications, and work with vendors to implement solutions or changes to meet those business requirements. Additionally, this role with be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving application issues, assisting in backing up application information and data, and performing scheduled system upgrades. Responsibilities also include supporting the IT team through the management of help desk tickets while providing or obtaining application knowledge and insight within the IT department for support and redundancy.

What will you be doing in this role:
- Deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot business applications, including application servers, associated hardware, endpoints, and databases.
- Develop, analyze, and organize requirement specifications, data mapping, diagrams, and flowcharts for development and testing of software and database integrated solutions.
- Meet and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to establish project scope, system goals, and requirements.
- Translate highly technical specifications into clear non-technical requirements.
- Work with software vendors on managing the setup and configuration of system APIs.
- Develop and implement maintenance procedures, monitor systems health, gather system statistics, and troubleshoot reported errors and alarms.
- Define and coordinate the execution of testing procedures and develop test cases to serve the overall quality assurance process.
- Perform design, implementation, and upgrades of information systems to meet the business and user needs.
- Create custom reports for departments using Excel, Access, SQL, or Crystal Reports.
- Provide documentation of all processes and training as needed.
- Support helpdesk tickets related to system access or software functionality issues.
- Assist in business continuance / disaster recovery.
To be successful in this role you will need:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or other related field from a four-year accredited college or university.
- Experience: At least two years of experience working with corporate applications and systems, including integration support between multiple systems. Basic SQL programming, scripting, and database experience required.
