About this Opportunity
The Operations Business Intelligence team is a new team at MillerKnoll created to support the specific strategic analytics needs of various Operations functions such as Quality, Distribution, Manufacturing, Logistics, Engineering, and Procurement. This is a cross-functional role which combines strategic and analytical capabilities with dedicated subject matter expertise sourced from Operations functions and data engineering capabilities. We work on opportunities which require the translation of business challenges into analytic solutions through data processing and analysis in order to draw insight from our data, improve business outcomes, and support decision making. The work includes creating data structures, dashboards, visualizations, and sustainable and automated solutions that empower analysis throughout the organization.
This role will:
Provide data driven insights and analytical support in solving strategic and operational problems by working with large data sets and translating into actionable insights, analytic dashboards, and/or reports that will influence business decisions.
Develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal customers and work closely with them to understand and anticipate needs and opportunities.

Perform functions related to requirements definition, data analysis, data automation, visual analytics, and BI tool utilization. Provide ad-hoc/special project data analysis for business leaders, enabling them to achieve goals, drive decision making, impact new strategies and make improvements.
Develop business acumen within the Operations and Supply Chain functions.
Establish and maintain strong working relationships with Manufacturing, Logistics, and Supply Management teams, becoming the go-to resource for analytical support.
Build scalable data architecture and re-usable analytics assets for broader consumption within the organization. Seek opportunities to improve data collection, identify links among datasets, and drive global alignment.
Navigate within established technology environments to locate, validate, extract, and format the correct data for data analysis. Identify and define data assets that relate to critical business functions. Modify and run queries and standard reports from data tools and provide to users.
Ensure that processes and services are continuously monitored for data accuracy, reliability, integrity, and quality. Engage in process and quality improvement activities, including defining and maintaining data governance to optimize data quality and transparency.
Continuously study the entire Operations and BI professional fields, including market trends, research and best practices, to maintain the professional competence, knowledge, and skills necessary for the satisfactory performance of all assigned responsibilities.
May provide system configuration and administration for other critical systems that support Operations and Supply Chain.

You might be just who we're looking for if you have . . .
Bachelor's Degree in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, Data Science, Database Systems, or relevant academic discipline preferred.
Minimum 3 years of professional analytics and technology experience.
3+ years of experience in report development, data science, business analytics, business intelligence, or comparable data engineering role, including data warehousing and business intelligence tools, techniques, and technology.
Alteryx Core Designer (preferred).
Tableau Desktop Specialist (preferred).
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
Experience with building front-end dashboards using Tableau required. Intermediate level ability desired.
Working knowledge of SQL to query large and complex data sets, test query results, and tune query performance required.
Working knowledge of ETL (Extract-Transform-Load) concepts for acquiring, cleansing, and combining diverse and disparate data sets preferred.
Intermediate-level experience with Alteryx preferred.
Working knowledge of a data analytics programming language such as Python, R and/or SAS preferred.
Ability to effectively communicate complex ideas regarding data analysis in an understandable, clear and concise manner.
Ability to explain complicated or technical information in a simple way to non-technical audiences
Sensitivity to clients' needs and ability to develop and maintain warm client relationships.
Curiosity and passion about data, visualization, and solving problems.
Creativity to determine the best solution for a real-world problem with quantitative data.
