Your Role
We are currently seeking a Material Handlerfor our New Hudson, Michigan location. The successful candidate will be responsible for the movement of raw materials to/from different departments and process areas; scanning and stocking materials; and following the processes as described by the job/work instructions.
This is a 2nd shift opportunity (2:00pm-10:30pm)
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Safely operate a fork truck/hi-lo to move product throughout the manufacturing facility
Stock raw material, move completed material to storage or shipping locations, and stock line side rack
Work within different departments as directed
Sort, organize, arrange, and store dunnage returned from customers
Move raw goods from inventory location to point of use
Move in-process product among work centers
Load bins and contents into production lines
Electronically locate and transfer raw goods and finished product utilizing hand held scanners
Assemble raw goods to include boxes and spools
Report all incidents involving fork truck/hi-lo accidents promptly to supervisor or SHEQ
To succeed, you will need
REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum of 1 year of manufacturing or warehouse experience
Material handling fork truck driving experience preferred
Strong understanding of Safety and Quality come first
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to lift and move materials, occasionally up to 50 lbs, throughout work day required
EDUCATION
High School diploma or equivalent required
