Backyard Products is looking for qualified Production Assembly Team Members to work on our Pack Line at our Shed Manufacturing and Production headquarters located in Historic Monroe, MI.
The Pack Line Associate is responsible for loading raw materials, parts and sub-assemblies in the correct quantity and order to optimize shed and play set finished goods kit packaging. The Pack Line Team has a critical role in assembling a quality shed and/or play set kit that provides 100% customer satisfaction.
This a fast paced and energetic environment. You will be handling various wooden structure and hardware parts and assembling them in boxes according to the instructions provided.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Reviews pack line instructions for multiple stations up and down line
- Assists Lift Truck operators with line set ups and tear downs
- Completes Pre-Shift/start up equipment and material inspection
- Continually monitors and culls for part \ material quality
- Operates within standard operation procedures (SOPs) and Job Safety Analysis (JSAs)
- Cleans and maintain work area
- Turns off and locks out equipment when not in use
Knowledge and Skills Requirements:
- Ability to read a tape measure and follow specific work instructions
- Working knowledge of mathematical functions
- Manual dexterity required for operating machinery
- Ability to lift to 50 pounds repetitively is required
- Steel toed work boots
- Must be available to work all shifts and overtime, as required
Additional Details:
- Pay: $16.00-$18.00 depending on experience
- Day Shift: Starting at 6AM M-F with overtime opportunities
- Benefits: Effective the 1st of the month following 30 days of employment (Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, ST/LT Disability, 401K and more!)
