VanAire, a military friendly employer, seeks a full-time Accountant to join their team in Gladstone, Michigan.

WHAT YOU WILL DO.
- Maintain accounts payable integrity: Track vendor accounts, reconcile ledgers, and ensure accurate reporting.
- Collaborate with Purchasing Department: Work together to resolve discrepancies and maintain positive relationships with our vendors.
- Sales & Use Tax reporting: Keep our monthly tax reporting accurate and timely.
- Support Accounts Receivable: Help verify accounts receivable and cash receipts as part of our financial control tasks.
- Backup other accounting tasks: Be ready to assist with additional accounting needs when required.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR.
- Someone who’s both knowledgeable and personable.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles, especially double-entry accounting.
- Proven experience managing accounts payable.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Great communication and interpersonal skills for working with vendors and team members
- An Accounting, Business, or Finance degree (or working toward one) is a plus.
