The Baraga Area School district is accepting application for the following position:
Part-time Custodian
Preference may be given to applicants with experience or training in custodial work and/or some aspects of light building maintenance. Baraga Area Schools will provide training as necessary. Applicants must be able to pass a criminal background check.
Responsibilities:
- Cleaning and disinfecting the building
- Hauling trash
- Attend to emergencies as needed
- Light maintenance
- Summer: Deep cleaning classrooms, hallway, stairways, etc.
- Setup and cleanup following events
- Follow board policies and procedures
Physical Requirements:
- Lift/carry heavy objects
- Move furniture, equipment, supplies and tools
- Bend/squat/reach/kneel/twist/scrub/sweep/vacuum/mop
- Climb ladders/use lift
- Use cleaning chemicals on a regular basis
- Safely operate job-related machinery
