OVERVIEW
Part time bookkeeping position for boutique investment banking firm. Works 1-3 days per week in a small office environment near Hancock, MI.
PRIMARY DUTIES
- Bookkeeping/accounting to general ledger for Company and affiliate companies
- Compile, verify and reconcile assets and asset lists
- Balance checkbooks to QuickBooks, credit cards and bank statements
- Job costing of significant sized projects for reporting to investors
- Organize and pay all payroll /1099 checks to employees and temporary personnel
- Create complete and accurate financial records, notes to financials, etc.
- Other duties, as assigned
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- High integrity, highly motivated professional in work and demeanor.
- Requires highly accurate work product, balancing of books for review of affiliated companies and governmental agencies
- Intimate knowledge of accounting: Income Statement/Balance Sheet/General Ledger
- Excellent working knowledge of Quickbooks Pro
- Knowledge of project accounting
- Three+ years in an bookkeeping role, knowledge of General Ledger desired
- Strong organizational skills
