General Responsibilities:
- Perform a wide variety of custodial duties in order to provide a clean, healthy, and safe environment.
- Perform work as required.
Specific Duties:
- Perform routine and comprehensive custodial maintenance of facility.
- Maintain inventory and submit written requests for supplies; test and evaluate new supplies.
- Accomplish all cleaning as outlined in the “Custodial Procedures for the Administrative Building”.
- May be required to travel to various agency sites to clean.
- Sanitizing and disinfecting agency’s building and rentals for various pathogens including Covid-19. Which may require operating specialized machines.
- Maintain and organize the Agency’s building key inventory and supply.
- Serve on various agency committees.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience Qualifications:
- Methods of maintaining, cleaning, and preserving a variety of surfaces; proper use of a wide range of cleaning agents and sanitizing equipment, according to state and federal regulations; handling and disposing of hazardous materials and blood borne pathogens with care.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); minimum of one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Additional Requirements:
- Demonstrate oral and written communication skills.
- Must be able to perform physical activities; such as, but not limited to, lifting heavy items (up to 50 lbs. unassisted), bending, standing, climbing, or walking.
- Must be able to work safely in an environment containing cleaning agents, cleaning materials, and dust.
- Must be self-directed and able to coordinate the completion of assigned tasks and be willing to accept new challenges on a daily basis.
- Must comply with Agency smoke free and drug free policies.
- Must have reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and pass State Police criminal clearance check and MMCAA’s “Insurance Carries” driving record review.
- Shall provide written report by a physician stating their physical capability.
- Understand the importance of daily work attendance.
