Responsible to direct and manage all production operations on the floor. Provide supervision of production employees within designated units ensuring daily production goals are met while meeting established quality standards.
Supervise production staff, determine staffing needs, and ensure adequate staffing to meet production requirements
1. Develop daily production schedule to support customer requirements including data entry into ERP.
2. Develop, implement, and oversee production processes and system performance.
3. Oversee equipment operation assuring any equipment required for production is functioning as required and that any preventative maintenance obligations are fulfilled and properly recorded.
4. Assign Quality Audit Sheet (QAS) to all production units and reviews specific production requirements with appropriate Line Leaders and Material Handlers, schedule material to and from the lines to ensure continuous production flows.
5. Oversee Material Handlers to disburse and return material to and from the production area.
6. Coordinate all production activities with Shipping & Receiving to ensure material is available for production and shipment according to customer schedules as well as assuring any problems relative to receipts, including Premium and/or Excessive freight is compiled regularly reported to management.
7. Coordinate incoming and outgoing documentation with Receiving and Quality Leaders including overseeing shipping clerks in pulling daily shipments per shippers and bills of lading and assure any production labels requiring replacement at shipping are correct via coordination with shipping personnel and Quality Leader.
8. Coordinate plant optimization and continuous process improvement activities with other departments and the Operations Manager.
9. Hold meetings with staff to ensure they are aware of and working on various company directives and goals.
10. Ensure that during absence of key quality personnel back up support is provided and that documentation requirements comply with the Company’s quality standards are properly documented.

· Knowledge of and compliance with OSHA/MIOSHA safety standards as well as emergency policies.
· Use proper protective equipment when necessary.
· Knowledge of the OSHA/MIOSHA and safety standards.
· Identify, correct, or report safety hazards and report any damages that could be detrimental to the facility and its surroundings.
· May perform periodic safety inspections throughout the facility to ensure a safe and clean environment
