Marketing Department, Inc., the region’s leading marketing agency, seeks a highly organized, results-driven Project Manager to join their team in Houghton, Michigan. In this exciting new role, you will oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of marketing projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. We’re looking for someone with strong project management experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to lead multiple projects or teams. While knowledge of marketing workflows is a plus, it’s not a requirement—what matters most is your ability to keep projects running smoothly and deliver great results.

WHAT YOU WILL DO.
- Oversee marketing projects from start to finish, keeping everyone aligned on objectives and timelines.
- Manage resources (time and budget) efficiently, ensuring high-quality project delivery.
- Serve as main point of contact for clients, providing updates on project progress and addressing any roadblocks.
- Collaborate closely with design, development, and marketing teams to ensure smooth project execution.
- Monitor project budgets to make sure everything stays on track and within client expectations.
- Anticipate and manage risks, addressing challenges to keep projects moving forward.
- Track performance, meeting deadlines, budgets, and quality standards, and provide post-project analysis.
- Ensure timely scheduling of social media and digital marketing projects.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR.
- 3 or more years of experience in project management required, ideally in a marketing or advertising environment.
- Strong proficiency in project management software.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and budgets at once, and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex ideas for both clients and teams.
- Proven leadership and team motivation skills, keeping everyone on the same page.
- A problem solver who can spot challenges early and find effective solutions.
QUALIFICATIONS THAT PUT YOU OVER THE TOP.
- Experience in a marketing or creative agency.
- Project management certification (PMP, CAPM, PRINCE2).
- Familiarity with digital marketing tools and platforms.
- Experience managing client relationships in a service-based environment.
