Michigan Sugar Company has an immediate full-time opportunity for a P&W Maintenance Technician, located at the Bay City Factory, 2600 S. Euclid Ave., Bay City, MI 48706.
Job Summary:
Maintenance Technician provide both mechanical and electrical certified skills. Employee and customer safety will always be a primary function while performing a wide variety of tasks in an (SQF) safe quality food production environment. This requires skills as a leader and team player participating in installation, repairs, production flow, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.
Required Prerequisites:
- Work history includes the ability to/have:
- Current State of Michigan Electrical Journeyman or Masters License
- Minimum of 3-5 years industrial electrical experience
- Industrial experience, including knowledge in motor control, relay logic, PLC logic, and computer based motor and process control system.
- Certification of mechanical training and 3-5 years of experience
- Possess a High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to perform physically demanding work in hot and cold environments
Primary Responsibilities:
- Keep electrical systems running to prevent minimum down time in process
- Maintain existing electrical systems and upgrading or adding new electrical systems
- Work in cooperation with mechanics or individually on mechanical issues
- Maintain existing mechanical equipment/machinery and upgrading or adding new mechanical equipment/machinery

Michigan Sugar Company was founded in 1906 when six smaller sugar companies merged their operations. In 2002, Michigan Sugar Company became a grower-owned cooperative and in 2004, it merged with Monitor Sugar Company to form the company that exists today.
