Job Description/Preferred Qualifications
Responsibilities
KLA is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our world-class AI and Modeling Center of Excellence in Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA. This individual will utilize his or her skills in Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence to develop advanced Machine Learning (ML)/Deep Learning (DL) algorithms be integrated into KLA's metrology challenges and metrology applications at FaST division. Responsibilities of this position include:
Research, develop and implement groundbreaking machine learning solutions for semiconductor device and thin film metrology
Rapid prototype and validate new machine learning, deep learning algorithms
Work in a highly multi-functional organization to drive systems integration of algorithms.
Work with both internal and external customers to define the requirements for next-generation algorithms to solve leading-edge metrology problems
Write robust production quality source code.
Bring forward and drive creative ideas, test ideas on metrology challenge use cases, demonstrate the feasibility, and develop production-ready code, and provide support as needed.
Evaluating and improving machine learning model performance comparing and assessing various machine learning models
Give presentations both internally and externally regarding the work
Preferred Qualifications
Doctorate (Academic) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Mathematics, or Physics with 1 solid year of industry work experience
Strong background in Machine Learning, deep learning
Proficiency in Python, especially in writing production-quality, object-oriented code
Knowledge of common deep learning frameworks like TensorFlow
Ability to formulate problems into mathematical equations.
Great teammate with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work
Background in machine learning in regression problems, TensorFlow framework, and generative modeling
Experience in Azure DevOps is a plus
Experience in semiconductors is a plus
Ability and willingness to travel worldwide to support projects at customer sites is a plus
Minimum Qualifications
PhD in Computer Science or related computational field with at least 1 year of industry work experience
MS in Computer Science or related computational field with at least 3 years of experience
Hands-on experience inmachine learning, deep learning project
