Additional Education/Experiences to be Considered: | Associate's degree in a related field.
Current State of Michigan Mechanical Contractor’s License, 1-7.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities: | Estimate material and time requirements for assigned work.
Maintain assigned tools, equipment and work area in a neat, organized and clean non-hazardous environment.
Maintain, inspect, test, adjust, repair, alter, install, and operate all environmental systems, devices, and controls, including fume hood systems and process air systems.
Maintain, inspect, test, adjust, repair, alter, install, and operate all refrigeration systems, devices, and controls, including ice arena process equipment.
Maintain, inspect, test, adjust, repair, alter, install, and operate water treatment for various types of open and closed systems.
Perform scheduled and unscheduled preventative maintenance to all HVAC&R equipment and devices.
Prepare records and service reports.
Requisition materials and parts, communicating with suppliers and technical support.
Stock, maintain and operate a service vehicle in a neat, organized and safe manner.
Troubleshoot malfunctioning systems and controls; test components using mechanical, electric, electronic and chemical testing equipment.
Any other duties assigned within the position classification area.
Maintain safety and security of equipment, vehicles, keys, tools, materials, and inventories.
Maintain safety, health, and quality standards in all duties and responsibilities.
Report to immediate supervisor.
Train and oversee the work of other employees in the performance of the characteristic duties.
Carry out these responsibilities in accordance with University policies and applicable laws.
