Job Description/Preferred Qualifications
As a Marketing Communications Specialist you will work with the global communications team, product managers and product marketing groups across the company to develop and manage communications assets that highlight the value and differentiation of KLA's products and portfolio solutions. In this job you will use your writing, organization and project management skills every day. You'll draw upon your ability to think strategically and efficiency to support the development of unique and memorable communications material that advances the KLA brand.
As a member of the extended KLA marketing communications team, you will drive activities in support of key communications initiatives, including product announcement support and technical thought leadership. Additionally, you will partner with members of the central communications team to develop, refine and publish technical content across KLA's various digital channels and for technical events.
In this role you will:
Leverage top-level product messaging to develop, review and/or edit text and graphical content for product-related collateral (web, product literature, technical articles, social media, etc.)
Establish a formal process for handling product collateral requests and execution (brochures, banners, web entries, tradeshow materials, etc.). Partner with the creative brand team or agencies to create branded product/technical content. Provide end-to-end management of resulting projects.
Help maintain digital libraries and SharePoints of product and technology assets.
Educate and implement product comms processes. Find opportunities to simplify and improve processes across the product comms organization.
In collaboration with the central communications team, produce and edit product materials for tradeshows.
Partner with the central communications team to create blogs and social media posts that focus on products and technologies.
Desirable capabilities and skills:
Copy writing and editing skills for product marketing collateral
Solid project management skills with ability to manage product, technical assets, databases and processes
Highly organized and detail oriented, with focus on maintaining accuracy of data, content and assets
Ability to distill product information into accessible language or visual concepts
Ability to create blog content
Ability to coordinate and collaborate across teams
Organized and skilled at handling multiple concurrent projects and agencies
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Level Degree with 2 years of industry experience or equivalent experience in a communications field with a passion for science and technology; or a Bachelor's Level Degree with 2 years of industry experience in physics, chemistry or related science or engineering fields with strong communications skills.
Knowledge of the semiconductor market and our company's position within the market; bonus for experience with KLA's products through previous positions in applications, engineering or product marketing at KLA, a semiconductor company, or another semiconductor equipment company
Self starter, who can identify problems and build solutions
Proficient with Microsoft Office, experience with SharePoint site creation/maintenance
Experience writing and editing marketing collateral
