TITLE: Patient Care Technician
SHIFT: DAYS (8 hours)
TIME: 7:00 pm - 3:30 Pm
HOLIDAYS: Work 3 holidays per year
High school diploma, GED or equivalent, ability to read and write, and one of the following:
- 6 Months experience in skilled long-term facility/acute care hospital OR
- Enrolled in a nursing program and have completed Fundamentals of Nursing course OR
- 1 Year experience short-term care facility (i.e. rehab) OR
- Completion of a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) program
Must be able to perform a wide range of physical activities which include moving, transporting and positioning patients and equipment as well as constantly positioning self to provide patient care and related duties.
Basic computer skills; course work in an Allied Health field.
This position is included in the bargaining unit represented by the Service Employees International Union - Healthcare Michigan (SEIU), which represents bargaining unit members in all matters with respect to wages, benefits, hours, and other terms and conditions of employment.
Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third party administrator to conduct background screenings.
