Education and/or Experience
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in any medical field and minimum of two years of donor management or critical care related experience OR a combination of five to seven years of relevant education and work experience.
- Certified Procurement Transplant Coordinator (CPTC) certification.
Preferred
- Master’s degree and minimum of two years of donor management or critical care related experience.
- Nurse management experience.
- Prior experience in a healthcare organization, transplant center, or organ/tissue procurement organization.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA)
- Written and verbal fluency in English.
- Ability to exercise initiative, critical thinking, and problem-solving.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs, including Outlook and Teams and other technology systems used in business operations.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple and competing priorities.
- Demonstrate attention to detail.
- Maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS.)
- Concentrate and function with frequent distractions and interruptions.
- Focus on work details for extended periods of time.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to manage difficult, sometimes emotional, individuals and situations.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communications skills.
- Self-directed, exercising appropriate judgement.
