This is a 2nd Shift Position
Position Summary
This employee will be charged with stacking both retail and food service cases and trays onto a pallet. Employee must be able to stack cases under various stacking patterns determined by size/type of product being run. Employee must also visually inspect packaging integrity and recognize potential issues with labels and package markings. The person filling this position will assist the Case Packer Operator with various tasks such as changing rolls of shrink film. Employee must keep the work area clean and be able to perform moderate to heavy labor. If any problems develop, notify foreman or supervisor.
Essential Functions
Hand palletize (stack) finished goods onto pallet following a specific stack pattern
Visually inspect pallet, product label, container, overwrap, and packaging integrity
Notify operator and/or supervisor of any production issues and assist in identifying and correcting these problems
Assist Case Packer Operator as needed
Fill out necessary paperwork, if required
Sort and package product, poke stems, cut stems and other tasks on moving lines/belts
Hand case product when required
Keep work area clean
Other tasks as assigned
Qualifications & Certifications Required
Internal GMP/HACCP/SQF Training

Frequent standing and walking
Occasional climbing, bending, stooping, and twisting
Lifting and/or pushing/pulling up to 50 pounds
