The Copper Country Intermediate School District is hiring an Educational Improvement & Professional Development Consultant/Coach in Hancock, Michigan.
In this role, you will have a meaningful impact on students and educators alike by helping schools thrive. You’ll be at the forefront of professional development, coaching, and program planning aimed at elevating school performance. Your expertise will guide administrators and teachers through curriculum support, assessment strategies, and the Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) framework.
WHAT WE OFFER.
- $58,600 – $77,800 annual starting salary based on education and experience.

WHAT YOU WILL DO.
- Collaborate with the CCISD MTSS team and local districts to assess needs and enhance educational practices.
- Develop and deliver engaging professional development sessions focused on curriculum, instruction, and assessment.
- Partner with the Lake Superior Stewardship Initiative Leadership Team to create impactful learning opportunities for educators.
- Serve as a regional resource for school improvement, providing expert guidance and support.
- Analyze data from various tools to recommend strategies that boost student achievement.
- Assist in grant implementation, including writing, budgeting, and reporting.
- Attend meetings and workshops across the lower peninsula as required.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR.
- You hold a Master’s Degree and have 5 or more years of teaching experience.
- You possess a valid Michigan secondary teaching certificate and have experience with MTSS teams.
- You’re knowledgeable about state standards in core content areas and have a track record in guiding school improvement initiatives.
- You’re skilled in utilizing formative, interim, and summative assessments to drive educational success.
- You have experience in grant management and are willing to travel for meetings and professional development opportunities.
- You’re excited about using technology as a powerful instructional tool.
- Administrative Certification a bonus.
- Experience in providing professional development to educators would be most helpful.
- An ability to translate research into actionable practices.
