job purpose:
This position is responsible for inventory control in the maintenance shop, receiving and storing parts, maintenance/production supplies, and miscellaneous receivers. This position maintains inventories in MVP (maintenance parts inventory system). Basic math skills are needed for inventory/receiving tasks. Other responsibilities include: completing part purchase orders; assigning vendor/Fairlife numbers and ensuring parts are in proper bins with proper inventory levels; ensuring work orders are charged correctly by performing daily cycle counts of inventory. Responsible for optimizing organization of the storeroom and maintenance area to maintain an orderly and systematized process and layout.
responsibilities:
Responsible for inventorying, stocking, and issuing parts and supplies for all equipment and production keepstock
Enters all part numbers, descriptions, and quantities into MVP (CMMS) maintaining accuracy at all times
Issues replacement parts to mechanics, assists mechanics in locating and selecting parts
Responsible for assembling and filling orders coordinating alongside the Maintenance Planner
Labels/bar codes all inventory parts for tracking usage
Enters receipt and distribution of parts/supplies into computer to update automated inventory records
Performs annual inventory audits of all parts
Receives shipments from vendors, checking vendor packing slips/invoices for accuracy and insuring quantities received are as stated
Directly issues parts received to open work orders and assigns to proper team or places in proper location within the parts room
Ability to communicate orally and through email/Teams with management and other co-workers is important
Work closely with purchasers to resolve part/purchasing discrepancies

Two to three years parts room experience or equivalent
History of detailed record-keeping and attention to detail
Fluency in a CMMS
Ability to maintain accurate inventory records
Expertise and proficiency with basic office computer software, and the ability to learn how to effectively use maintenance software to update work orders, run inventory reports, receive parts, track costs, research and checkout parts.
A High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is required.
High School level verbal and written communication skills.
Basic computational skills required. Simple math and reasoning required.
Must be able to operate the equipment effectively after the appropriate break-in period.
