The Best Western Plus in Marquette, Michigan (a franchise operated by Moyle Real Estate & Development) seeks a Sales & Marketing Manager.
The Sales & Marketing Manager will be directly involved in the process of opening this brand-new property in December of 2024. It will include 3-stories and 87 rooms offering exceptional guest experiences. If you enjoy the excitement of the hospitality industry, we want to hear from you. WHAT WE OFFER.
- $38,000 – $42,000 starting annual salary based on your experience.
- Annual bonus based upon performance and meeting goals.
- Paid holidays.

- Monday-Friday full-time position; no weekends.

WHAT YOU WILL DO.
- Generate revenue and exceed budget expectations through strategic sales efforts.
- Collaborate with our General Manager to design and execute an effective marketing plan.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key accounts and local businesses.
- Analyze competition, identify market opportunities, and create programs to boost sales.
- Manage and maintain sales systems, including sales records, reports, conference calendars, client history, logs of previously unaccommodated groups, and mailing lists.
- Make face-to-face sales calls to potential clients and ensure prompt, professional service for all accounts.
- Provide sales training for hotel staff and keep a pulse on community trends to stay ahead of the competition.
- Attend off-site training meetings, as needed.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR.
- Degree in Business, or equivalent sales/marketing training and experience.
- 4 or more years of sales experience; hospitality sales preferred.
- A leader with strong revenue management skills and a drive for success.
- You’re organized, an excellent communicator, and have an eye for opportunities.
- Strong knowledge of local businesses and market trends.
- Self-motivated, professional, and ready to hit the ground running.
- Bonus points if you’ve helped open a new hotel before.
