*Job Summary*
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Assistant Teacher to join our Gabby's Guppies team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for young learners, focusing on their social, emotional, and academic development.
*Responsibilities*
- Implement weekly engaging lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards. Director of center will help plan these.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment that fosters learning and development.
- Monitor and assess each child's progress, adapting teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles.
- Collaborate with parents, specialists, and other educators to support children with special needs, including those on the autism spectrum.
- Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practices and stay current with educational trends.
*Skills*
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices.
- Ability to manage classroom behavior effectively while fostering a positive learning atmosphere.
- Excellent communication skills for collaboration with parents, staff, and external professionals.

*QUALIFICATIONS* (applicant must meet one of the following:)
Possess a High School Diploma or GED
Acquire and maintain CPR/First Aid certifications
Pass background checks completed by the Department of Human Services and the Michigan State Police Department

Pay: $14.00 - $19.00 per hour
