Position Summary:
Responsible for performing trimming or removal of trees and other vegetation near energized or de-energized overhead power lines using aerial lifts and/or manual climbing techniques.
Essential Functions:
- Responsible for trimming or removal of trees and other vegetation; following the BWL Tree Trimming Policy.
- Properly uses and cares for of all tools and equipment required to perform job duties.
- Drives and operates an aerial lift bucket truck and large brush chipper.
- Must be willing and able to work standby rotation as required.
- Follows BWL safety manual and wears required personal protective equipment as required.
- Attends training and safety awareness and/or skills improvement as required by the BWL Utility Forester, BWL management, or government agency such as MIOSHA.
- Performs other duties as necessitated by job responsibilities.
- Must be willing to learn Microsoft Excel, Outlook, BWL Outage Management System, and SAP for keeping track of completed jobs and entering time
