DiaMedical USA is a fast-growing medical equipment distributor looking to fill a Warehouse Production Technician position in our Farmington Hills, MI warehouse. The Warehouse Production Technician will perform tasks involved in the production, picking, and packing of products for order fulfillment. This position will also serve as additional support for the light manufacturing of simulation training equipment. This role requires forklift operation to conduct tasks.
Key Responsibilities and other duties as assigned:
- Maintains a clean work environment and adheres to all company safety and safe-working policies and reports any known safety risks or violations to management.
- Locates and picks products to fulfill customer orders.
- Packages products into boxes, bags, or crates and builds pallets for outbound shipments.
- Palletizes and loads products for shipment, such as beds and carts, to ensure products are stacked and arranged properly and securely to avoid damage during shipment.
- Assists with production including building and assembling parts according to blueprints or instructions out of wood and metal using provided tools.
- Follows blueprints and instructions to assemble, disassemble, and reassemble items according to customer specifications.
- Completes inventory and cycle counts for inventory and supplies.
- Maximizes the use of available space in the warehouse by arranging products in a way that maximizes accessibility and organization for improved inventory control.
- Attends company meetings at warehouse and home office and presents information to team members as needed.
- Completes production reports and other documents as required.
- Maintains excellent attendance and punctuality.
Education:
- High school diploma or general education degree (G.E.D.) and 2 years of relevant Warehouse and Production experience or a combination of 4 years of post-secondary education and/or relevant experience.
Skills and Experience:
- Previous experience working in a warehouse with responsibilities of selecting orders, inventory control, packing and pallet building for outbound shipments.
- Ability to read, understand, and execute blueprints and assembly instructions.
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
- Experience operating forklifts. Forklift certification will be provided and required.
- Ability to operate push carts and pallet jacks.
- Experience with wood working and assembly required.
- Proven ability to operate hand and power tools including, but not limited to, use of saws, hammers, nail guns, etc.
- Computer operation skills including basic proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
- Must be able to work Monday-Friday from 7:00 am – 4:00 pm and overtime as required.
