JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Summary:
The IT Manager is responsible for overseeing multiple teams and functions related to Information Technology. They will lead and guide the work of technical staff and plan projects as the arise. The IT Manager will also monitor progress and assure deadlines and standards are met within the department. They will adhere to all Bandit safety, quality, inventory and production guidelines, standards, policies, and procedures.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee multiple departments and functions within the IT department.
- Monitor/assess employee performance and acknowledge improvements or take corrective action.
- Identify problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
- Knowledge of circuit boards, processors, electronic equipment, and computer hardware/software, including applications and programming.
- Implement updates and upgrades to systems with minimal end user impact.
- Install, configure, test, and maintain operating systems, application software, and system management tools.
- Motivate, develop, and direct people as they work, identify the best people for the job.
- Recommend of execute personnel actions, such as hiring, evaluations, or promotions.
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve issues and develop systems.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient computer skills
- Skills in databases, data processes, program architect, and data security
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field is preferred but not required.
- Seven (7) or more years of experience in IT related position
Physical Requirements:
- Frequently sit for extended periods of time
- Occasionally stand, walk, push, pull, stoop, pinch, grasp, and/or bend
- Requires employee to work both inside/outside in heat/cold, and/or wet/humid conditions.
- Occasionally required to use personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent injury.
- Occasionally lift 30 pounds
