Additional Education/Experiences to be Considered: | Proficient in the use of an electronic student records system. Proficient in online scheduling systems (i.e. Navigate). Proficient with software applications such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access). Bookkeeping skills and experience with Banner and Concur. Experience with payroll software (i.e. Time Clock Plus).

Essential Duties/Responsibilities: | 1. Perform any/all duties as defined in the Secretary Level 1 position description. 2. Provide support to the Director of Tutoring and SLA. 3. Independently answer routine correspondence and draft non-routine correspondence for review and approval of supervisor. 4. Answer or refer inquiries from students, faculty, staff, and the general public regarding established policies and procedures. 5. Research information as background for incoming and outgoing communications. 6. Prepare and maintain information for such documents as correspondence, memos, reports, etc. using computer software such as word processing, spreadsheet, database and file management. 7. Input, retrieve, download and output information utilizing a computer to access various software programs and systems. 8. Establish and maintain filling and record-keeping systems. 9. Interview, train, and direct student employees. 10. Coordinate special department functions and activities, meetings, conferences, workshops, seminars, retreats, by scheduling facilities, preparing agendas, and arranging for services and equipment. 11. Monitor department budgets. 12. Demonstrates an understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion, especially in working relationships with students, faculty, staff and community members. 13. Support, promote, and develop university student enrollment and retention initiatives. 14. Any other duties assigned within the position classification area. | |

Operate a variety of office machines and equipment such as computer, facsimile, multi-line telephone, copier, and calculator to include making minor adjustments (requires some mechanical aptitude). 2.
