Bricktown Capital, LLC. advises and manages the securities investment portfolios of Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan and its subsidiaries. Bricktown Capital is an independent company. The Equity Portfolio Manager provides support in the management of investment portfolios to achieve superior risk adjusted returns. In this role, you will assist with the determination of asset class, geographic and sector allocations utilizing factor-based attribution modeling. You will research and trade equities, ETFs, and associated equity derivatives. In addition, you will maintain relationships with counterpart broker dealers and Futures Clearing Merchants and assist in the review and monitoring of external asset managers. * Manage investment portfolios in accordance with established trading and risk parameters with an aim toward outperforming relevant asset class benchmarks. * Responsible for managing, researching, and trading various equity instruments including single name equities, ETFs, and equity derivatives. * Tactically rebalance equity exposures at both the overall asset class and sub-category levels taking external manager exposures into consideration. * Collaborate and share market views with Portfolio Managers and other members of the investment team. * Assist in the oversight and training of investment staff to develop innovative approaches, tools, and techniques for modeling and analyzing equity portfolio exposures. * Research economic developments which impact equity markets. * Develop and maintain relationships with trading counterparties. * Liaise with cash management, investment accounting, risk management, and bank custodians to ensure timely and accurate trade settlement. * Responsible for working with senior management to develop and continually monitor investment guidelines. * Monitor external equity manager strategies and performance. Produce recommendations to include both allocation decisions regarding current managers and the sourcing of new managers. * Assist with the management of short-term cash flows for assigned clients. QUALIFICATIONS * Bachelor's degree in finance, Business Administration or related field is required. MBA preferred. * Six (6) years of experience in investment portfolio management, research or trading. * Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation is preferred. * Excellent written and oral communication skills with ability to articulate investment insights. * Ability to think independently and appropriately convey a viewpoint that may be counter to consensus. * Demonstrated cross-organization collaboration capability and interpersonal skills. * Ability to manage multiple tasks and thrive in a fast-paced team environment. * Strong knowledge of MS Office suite of products, particularly Excel and PowerPoint. * Investment portfolio construction and management skills are required. * Experience with investment related software such as Bloomberg and Blackrock Aladdin highly preferred.
