- REQUIREMENTS:
- High School diploma or equivalent with the ability to learn quickly; basic math/reading skills.
- Minimum 1-3 years' experience with Manufacturing Operations preferred.
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude including welding (ex. mig, tig, stick and aluminum), carpentry and metal fabrication; experience using basic maintenance tools and machines (ex. drill press, band saw, overhead crane); ability to read and interpret blueprints/schematics, cutting and grinding preferred.
- Possess valid hilo license or have the ability to obtain a hi-lo license; be trained and certified to operate overhead crane or have the ability to be so trained and certified; be able to lift 10-80 pounds utilizing a 2 man lift and crane lift to move material from delivery to stock.
- Good communication and interaction skills to interact with internal contacts and work in a team environment.
- Demonstrated problem solving skills involving a high degree of judgment and comprehension.
- Demonstrated organization, prioritizing and time management skills with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to demonstrate a clean work area and safe work environment.
- Ability to work varying hours and shifts as needed to support projects.
- Ability to stand for up to 6 hours per shift.
- Ability to walk for up to 2 hours per shift. PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Prolonged standing at least 8 hours, but up to 12 hours per day
- Lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds multiple times per hour.
- Repetitive bending, twisting, turning, lifting.
