Administrative Office Manager – Health - This full time position will perform a variety of clerical and administrative duties to support the programs of the Hannahville Department of Health and Human Services and the Director of Health and Human Services. Works independently and assumes the responsibility for the efficient day to day operations and office flow; types, formats and proofreads correspondence, reports and other material; acts as the travel resource person with such duties as making travel/lodging arrangements and per diem request for entire staff of the Hannahville Department of Health and Human Services; keeps personnel files and employee listing up to date, screens walk-ins, incoming phone calls and mail; attends and takes minutes at Health Board meeting; maintains confidential information. May be required to travel both locally and long distance and/or transport work equipment. Must be able to pass a background and drug and alcohol testing.
QUALIFICATIONS: At a minimum, 2 year degree in Administrative Assistant or Business; must possess valid MI. driver’s license (in compliance with Tribal First Insurance carrier responsibilities; 2-5 years’ experience as executive office manager; excellent typing skills; strong computer skills; experience in Microsoft Office Suite especially Word and Excel programs; good writing, communication, spelling and grammar skills; knowledge of acceptable office practices, electronic time keeping programs and Privacy Act/HIPAA and confidentiality issues. Must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
