HTC Global Services, Inc. has an opening for the position of Jr. Data Scientist (Ref# JDS96GE).
Work Location: Troy, MI and relocation required to various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S.
Job Duties: Under direct supervision, develop and implement analytics applications using data-oriented programming languages. Apply data modeling, natural language processing (NLP), and machine learning to extract and analyze information from large datasets. Build, design, and develop an overall understanding of AI (artificial intelligence) application design uses for various modules being developed. Responsible for model development, deployment, monitoring, and implementation of featured stories. Deliver machine learning use cases using Agile. Deliver machine learning software products using iterative approach. Work with software and machine learning engineers to tackle challenging AI problems. Provide creative and innovative solutions and proposals for new product development. Support the AI technology process and facilitate communication between developer and architect teams using best practices. Gather and analyze business needs and requirements for the AI project. Collaborate with stakeholders, domain experts, and data scientists to identify the problem, define project goals, and determine the data and resources required. Participate in designing the overall AI system architecture. Develop and train AI models. Select appropriate algorithms, models, and frameworks based on the project requirements. Design the flow of data, preprocessing steps, feature engineering, and model selection. Perform data collection, cleaning, transforming, and formatting to make it suitable for training AI models. Ensure data quality, handle missing values, perform feature scaling, and apply other necessary preprocessing techniques. Implement chosen algorithms and frameworks, fine-tune hyperparameters, and perform model training using the prepared data. Deploy trained models into production environments or integrate them into existing systems. Monitor AI models performance and maintain them over time. Involved in retraining models, updating algorithms, or adapting to changing data patterns. Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for machine learning models, with a focus on Generative AI models. Use of PyTorch, TensorFlow, Python, Java, Spark, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), DevOps, Git, Docker, Kubernetes, Kubeflow, Jupyter, AWS, SQL, and Linux.
Requirements: This position requires a Bachelor’s degree or foreign academic equivalent in Computer Science, Data Science, Data Analytics, Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. Plus 2 years of experience in the job offered or 2 years in a related occupation including Software Developer, Data Analyst, Data Engineer, or related experience. Position requires 1 year of experience with machine learning and NLP (natural language processing). 40hrs/week.
