Job Description:
The objective of the Student Programs at Nexteer Automotive is to select students with high potential and provide them with "real world" work experiences. Work assignments expose students to many of the company’s products, processes, procedures, problems, resources, staff areas and people so that they become aware of the career opportunities at Nexteer Automotive. Assignments are deigned to assimilate acquired classroom education with actual hands-on work experience in a technical environment. In addition, Nexteer Automotive gains the opportunity to find new talent to enhance productivity.
Job Description- Entry level role within GSM Systems team to support ongoing initiatives including application testing, report generation, end user support and user training. The student would be expected to be able to interface directly with the end users such as buyers, SQE's and corporate quality on application support issues and reporting needs. Additionally the student will participate in application testing and quality assurance.
Special skills- Good Organizational skills, Computer skills - PowerPoint, Excel, Word. Good communication skills.
Job Requirements:
Full time student at University of Detroit, University of Michigan Flint, Wayne State University or Oakland University studying Computer Systems or Informations Systems
Ability to work 20 - 28 hours per week during the school year
Minimum cumulative GPA: 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
