Summary:
Responsible for all aspects of the recruitment process to source and identify top talent for Con-way Freight. Maintain expertise and keep informed of developments and trends as they relate to the methods and procedures used at Con-way. Monitor and contribute to the organization?s competitive edge by implementing and executing best in class recruiting strategies.
Essential Functions:
Develop proactive recruiting strategies to expeditiously fill open positions
Develop networks within local community to aid in effective sourcing strategies.
Manage the daily recruiting activities, including screening applicants, background checks, drug screenings, interview scheduling, prescreening and pre-employment testing, as appropriate.
Manage the background screening process (to include drug screens) and ensure vendors comply with our stated policies and their own procedures.
Stay current with trends to effectively build pipelines of key talent for the organization.
Partner with the hiring managers to ensure collaboration and review of candidates for each position.
Maintain metrics
Manage recruiting activity through the Applicant Tracking System (Taleo). Ensure regulatory compliance, including EEO and OFCCP.
Ensure appropriate methods and procedures are used in on-boarding of new employees.

Incumbent follows procedures and established guidelines, but also acts independently in making some decisions. Performs work under general supervision.
Work under established guidelines and controls, including the Employee Handbook, Personnel and Contingent Worker Processes, Department of Labor and Equal Employment laws and other legislation impacting the field of human resources.
