Job Summary:

A Dishwasher has daily duties and responsibilities essential to keeping a food service establishment working at an optimal pace. The Dishwasher plays a key role in maintaining a clean and organized kitchen, maintaining the cleanliness required by law and the standards of Interlochen Center for the Arts. Be a member of our amazing Dining Services Team. We have both Full Time and Part Time positions open and all positions include a benefit package, depending on hours worked per week.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Washing and storing all food service dishes, trays, utensils, flatware, cups and small equipment.

• Inspection of all items to be sure they are cleaned to standards.

• Follows through with special requests or assignments from the management team.

• Maintains quality standards, safety and sanitation in all areas. Assists with unloading and storage of stock on a bi-weekly basis.

• Presoak all flatware in solution

• Drain/change water in the dish machine, checking soap and rinse agents level on a regular basis (de-lime as needed).

• Maintain kitchen cleanliness, including counters, floors and equipment.

• Constantly monitor and clean halls, main docks, and dish rooms. 

• Close down machines at the end and clean out accordingly using opening and closing procedures provided.

• Clean all kitchen equipment when asked by chef

• Must understand and abide by environmental practices of Interlochen Center for the Arts and maintain cleanliness required by law.

• Other duties as assigned.
