The primary function of this position is to review and analyze municipal retirement system data and monitor tasks related to the administration of Protecting Local Government Retirement and Benefits Act (Public Act 202 of 2017). Performs assignments related to the tracking and monitoring of statewide financial and operational data of Michigan’s local governments. Designs, develops, and implements municipal government training programs and related materials for Michigan’s local officials. Identifying local governments that may need resources and delivering technical assistance and other targeted support to those local governments and provide training and outreach assistance to support Michigan’s local officials. Performs other related assignments for the Local Audit and Finance Division. Supports Treasury’s overall goals, strategic planning, Operational Excellence and Employee Engagement activities. Performs other assignments as needed for the Bureau of Local Government and School Services and the Treasury Executive Office.
