Summary:
The Check Resolution Associate is responsible for researching return and refund checks in addition to performing QA on items worked.
Essential Duties and Functions: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Research and resolution of return and refund checks

Contact carriers and/or agents for current payment/policy status

Submit files for Treasury
-
Communicate clearly with clients and internal teams regarding check resolution

Calling and resolving outstanding checks
-
Note IIM and client system (if needed)

Mail checks to correct address if appropriate

Mail checks to client for deposit to escrow
-
Rush payments to carriers when policy is in jeopardy of cancellation

Assist with special projects as needed and acting as a backup within the department

Required:

High School Diploma/ GED

Must have excellent attendance and no prior disciplinary action(s)

Ability to work holidays and overtime as required

Must be proficient with MS Office

Must be proficient with MS Excel

Physical Requirements Necessary on a Regular Basis:
1. Repetitive motion. Manual dexterity, arm and upper body range of motion sufficient for use of a keyboard, mouse and telephone 7-8 hours per day
2. Speech and hearing sufficient for in-person and telephone communication 7-8 hours per day
3. Vision sufficient for use of a computer monitor
4. Sedentary position. Ability to sit at a desk 7-8 hours per day
5. Worker not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions
