CNC Machinist Helper – First Shift and Weekend First Shift
Betz Industries, Inc., located in Grand Rapids, MI for over 88 years and a recognized world leader in the manufacturing of gray and ductile iron castings as well as Styrofoam patterns, has opened a new facility and is looking for a 1st shift and 1st shift "weekend" CNC Machinist Helpers to join our company.
Education/experience:
High school degree or equivalent is required and/or 1-3 years experience.
Essential duties and job responsibilities
- Operate an overhead crane and forklift truck to move castings and tooling for job preparations and job transitions for CNC machines.
- Ensure tools are identified and clearly labeled.
- Check incoming material, verify shippers, and prepare finished jobs for shipping.
- Assist with finishing processes, including cleaning and deburring material, maintenance, and clean-up for each job.

- US Standard of Measurement as well as Metric
- Follow instructions
- Use of handtools
- Ability to work independently or as a team member
