Responsibilities
Under the general supervision of the Specialist or Senior Data Warehousing Programmer, the Project Manager, Manager or the Portfolio Director: responsible for production support, enhancement, and maintenance of the data warehouse. Performs data warehouse design and construction. Codes and documents scripts and stored procedures. Designs and implements data strategy methods. Develops appropriate ETL/System programs and systems documentation. Assists with metadata repository management. Prepares and implements data verification and testing methods for the data warehouse. The responsibilities also include troubleshooting application issues and/or data issues when they arise. The Data Warehousing Programmer is member in an IT team that is accountable for production support (including on-call duties in a 24x7 environment) as well as new projects.

Education and Experience:
Required:
* Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred
* 3 years of application programming and analysis with BI Reporting tools
* 3 years of experience with designing and developing dashboards/reports/scorecards in Cognos 10 using Framework Manager, Report Studio, Business Insight Advanced
* 3 years of experience with troubleshooting Cognos generated SQL
* 2 years of experience with Oracle database including SQL/ PL SQL, indexing, partitioning, views, materialized views, performance tuning and optimization
* 3 years of experience with Unix shell scripting
* 3 years of experience in data warehousing/data mart environments.
* 3 years of experience with Data Warehouse methodologies (i.e., Bill Inmon or Ralph Kimball)
* 3 years of working knowledge/experience with Star Schema or Snow Flake designs
* 2 years of experience with analyzing and interpreting complex problems or processes that span multiple business areas, identify and understand requirements, and develop alternate solutions
* 2 years of experience/exposure to the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including Agile
Preferred:
* 1 year applicable experience in the Healthcare / Health insurance domain, with good understanding of HIPAA data Privacy and Security requirements.
* 1 year of experience with designing and developing cube models using Cognos Transformer
* 1 year of applicable experience with FACETS, IKA, PEGA
* 1 year of experience with Project Management (developing work plan timelines)
* 1 years of experience with evaluating options and making recommendations for potential solutions
* Any experience defining development guidelines and standards
