The maintenance supervisor is responsible for supervising day-to-day maintenance of the facility, overseeing the function of parts ordering, preventative maintenance, and departmental training. Also responsible for downtime issues, related root cause analysis, and scheduling labor for the department. Shift is 7am - 7pm, rotating days. Duties and Responsibilities: * Review operating budget periodically to analyze trends affecting budget needs. * Assist with capital quotes. * Establish and maintain organization's SAP database and CMMS systems. * Perform proper root cause analysis on breakdowns or failures. * Present findings and analysis. * Prioritize work including emergencies, PM's, and general maintenance activities. * Supervise day-to-day maintenance work. * Develop procedures and policies for maintenance department. * Manage departmental budget. * Perform required maintenance on all related support equipment, including buildings and utilities. * Responsible for all mechanic shift schedules and attendance. * Assist the Plant/Production Manager to ensure that all preventative maintenance work orders are completed within the given time. * Assist with everyday maintenance issues and repairs. * Assist with planning & scheduling of preventive and corrective maintenance work orders using the SAP maintenance module. * Support the MRO purchasing and inventory management functions including all Repair & Maintenance parts and supplies. * Oversee pass down issues. Assigning daily jobs and work orders. * Ensure maintenance staff has a good understanding of work practices and procedures. * Maintains and orders repair and maintenance parts, supplies, tools, and equipment. * Repair and maintenance of all plant equipment. * Actively support and implement preventative maintenance programs. * Attends required training, including but not limited to: GMP's, HAACP, SQF, Safety, etc. * All other duties as assigned. * Due to the nature of the job, this individual will be required for some on call and weekend work. - Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred. - 3+ years related experience preferred, supervisory experience preferred. - Must have strong computer skills. - Must have strong knowledge of equipment including: mechanical background, compressed air system, boilers, HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, PLCs, waste water treatment, and general mechanical items. - Strong analytical skills for data analysis and root cause analysis are required.
